About Robin Peel

Robin Peel Marketing & Public Relations was founded in 2002.  After more than 25 years in business development, marketing, and public relations, she put her experience to work helping professional service firms, health practitioners, small start-ups and going-green companies achieve success in promoting and publicizing their businesses. She helps them stretch their lean marketing budgets using free publicity, savvy promotion, and strategically placed advertising.

Robin’s first stint as a business owner began at age 14, when she sold greeting cards and wrapping papers to buy Christmas presents for her family. She quickly discovered that marketing to the mothers of friends and classmates was far more effective – and much more fun – than cold calling. In those days before the internet made online shopping possible, people liked the convenience of setting up an appointment to see the latest samples and catalogs in their own homes. The ‘warm’ leads provided by those loyal customers convinced Robin of the power of word-of-mouth advertising.

Robin spent many years with a non-profit hospital and health care corporation in Tucson AZ. She became their first health care marketing representative in 1986. For sixteen years, she was in charge of marketing and business development for a variety of service lines, including physical rehabilitation, occupational health and behavioral health. She continues to help Tucson businesses grow with promotion projects designed to expand public awareness and increase their clientele.

Robin’s community service activities include serving as a marketing consultant for the AZ Star’s Small Business Makeover feature, a 2-year stint leading a monthly marketing roundtable for the Arizona Small Business Association (ASBA), serving as a marketing mentor for the Microbusiness Advancement Center (MAC), and providing presentations on low cost promotion activities to business networking groups. She currently is a member of the Public Awareness Team for Imagine Greater Tucson.
